The West Virginia Auctioneers Association mission is to provide quality education and support to our members throughout West Virginia.
They seek to accomplish this through:
- Educating the membership as well as the public concerning the latest methods of marketing related to the Auction Profession;
- Providing a range of professional services to our members, informing them of changes that might impact their ability to make a living;
- Diligently monitoring the activity of the legislature and respond accordingly to protect our rights as Auctioneers.
The Virginia Auctioneers Association is recognized today, by out of state auctioneers and other professionals who have been in contact with it, as a professional organization worthy of emulation.
The National Auctioneers Association is a dynamic, harmonious, proactive trade association for professional auctioneers across America and Canada. The NAA provides progressive leadership and education for the membership, industry and consumer.
The goals and objectives are:
- To provide educational advancement for its members;
- To educate consumers and governmental agencies on the benefits of the auction method of marketing;
- Promote professionalism and ethical behavior among auctioneers;
- To promote programs that increase membership participation and growth;
- To influence legislation;
- To compile and disseminate industry data.
